Benjamin Netanyahu got on a DC-bound plane this morning, and his contentious visit continues to rankle Washington even before he lands. "The animosity between the White House and the prime minister is no secret here in this town," John Boehner told CBS this morning, per the Hill. "They’ve certainly made it worse over the last five or six weeks." He added: "What I do wonder is why the White House is threatened because the Congress wants to support Israel and wants to hear what a trusted ally wants to say." Dianne Feinstein, meanwhile, didn't mince words in blasting Netanyahu's claim that he was speaking for the Jewish people. "He doesn’t speak for me on this," she told CNN, per Bloomberg. "I think it’s a rather arrogant statement. I think that arrogance does not befit Israel, candidly." But she's going to his speech: "I intend to go, and I’ll listen respectfully. I don’t intend to jump up and down."

Elsewhere on your Sunday dial:

  • Boehner on the ISIS fight: "Somebody’s boots have to be on the ground. We have some 3,000 boots on the ground today. Let’s not suggest that we don’t."
  • Feinstein on Boris Nemtsov's murder: Oh, I think so. I think there is [a connection]. Whether he authorized it, whether he knew about it, whether it was his friends or some of his military doing this, we’ll wait and see with the investigation.
  • Pete King on the DHS fight: "There's an element within our party—there's a wing within the Congress—which is absolutely irresponsible. They have no concept of reality. For these people to be threatening to defund the Department of Homeland Security at a time when our threat streams have never been greater at any time since 9/11, it's absolutely irresponsible."
