CBS begins its Thursday night NFL broadcasts tonight, but the Ray Rice case has caused some last-minute alterations. The changes include eliminating a pregame segment with the song "Run This Town" featuring Rihanna. The singer's own history of violence involving Chris Brown was one of several factors involved in cutting the song, but not the overriding factor, says CBS Sports chief Sean McManus. The network wanted to make time for a segment on Rice and domestic violence and give the game coverage a more "subdued" tone, he says. A spokesman for the NFL Network, which will simulcast the game, says the song will be back next week, reports CNN. (More NFL stories.)
