The Predators came out swinging, scoring three goals on their first four shots of the game, and ultimately beating the Wings 4-2, the Nashville City Paper reports. "We set the tempo and played physically early," said Alexander Radulov, who scored twice for Nashville--owners of a 2-1-1 record against Detroit so far this season. Elsewhere in the NHL:

  • Despite his recent criticisms of the team, Vaclav Prospal produced a big night for the Lightning. The center scored two goals, including the go-ahead effort, as Tampa topped Montreal, 3-2.
  • The Islanders' Trent Hunter scored a goal and added two assists to hand the struggling Flyers a 4-3 loss. The victory marked the first for New York since Jan. 22nd.
