Mississippi isn't just the most religious state in the country, it's also the most corrupt, according to a new study. The study, which compiled more than 25,000 corruption convictions of public officials between 1976 and 2008, also revealed that corruption in the country's 10 worst states, listed below, costs residents $1,308 per year on average, Fortune reports.
