Police in the small town of Weaver, Alabama, say a man pretending to be an FBI agent showed up at City Hall in a failed attempt to arrest the mayor, reports the Anniston Star. When he was told the mayor wasn't there, Bobby Beck held up a pair of handcuffs and promised to return. Police tracked down the 59-year-old thanks to surveillance video and a partial license plate, and he told them he wanted to arrest the part-time mayor "because it's against the law for a mayor to be anything but full time," reports al.com. Beck, who had a semiautomatic pistol at City Hall, faces a slew of charges, including impersonating a peace officer and making a terroristic threat.
