When a $600 tuxedo was stolen off a mannequin Friday night at a bridal shop in Prescott Valley, Ariz., police knew just where to look: They called around to local schools and discovered that one of them had its prom scheduled for the weekend. The store owner, whose front window had been broken to get to the mannequin, attended the prom and spotted the tux on 18-year-old Kyle Terry Laderoort, who was promptly arrested.

Laderoort denied stealing the tux, though he did give some conflicting statements, AZFamily.com reports. He was booked in jail on felony burglary and felony criminal damage charges, KPHO reports. (More weird crimes stories.)
