Brian Rolston scored two goals and Brent Burns scored the winner in overtime as the Minnesota Wild handed the New York Islanders their seventh straight loss, 4-3, tonight, reports the Associated Press. The Islanders led 3-2 with 4:05 left and had out shot Minnesota 29-18, but they gave up a late Rolston goal to allow overtime. In other NHL action:

  • Paul Martin had two goals and Martin Brodeur had 22 saves as the New Jersey Devils routed the Carolina Hurricanes, 6-1. The win snapped a two-game skid for the Devils.
  • Owen Nolan scored two goals as the Calgary Flames bounced back from a rout by Edmonton Monday to beat the Oilers, 4-1.
