There are eight Ivy League colleges, and Kwasi Enin can have his pick. The 17-year-old has managed to get into every single one, a feat officially achieved with last week's acceptance from Harvard. USA Today confirms that it saw scanned copies of all the "congratulations" letters (from Brown, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Harvard, Princeton, the University of Pennsylvania, and Yale), via Kwasi's school district. How'd he do it? First, he applied to all of them, something that few students do to begin with. But according to the founder of consulting firm IvyWise, Kwasi has a lot going for him.

He's male (the applicant pool leans female), he's in the top 2% of his Long Island high school, scored in the 99th percentile, and has taken 11 Advanced Placement classes. He also volunteers, plays viola, is a shot-putter, and sings in William Floyd High School's a capella group, reports Newsday. And as a first-generation American from Ghana, his story stands out, though he's quite modest about it. "I always thought they were far better than me academically," Kwasi says of his cousins, who have gotten into a number of Ivies. Should he decide that Cornell or Yale just don't do it for him, he does have other options: He also got into Duke and three State University of New York campuses. He'll have to make a choice on where he'll ultimately study both medicine and music by May 1. (More uplifting news stories.)
