A new ad for World Down Syndrome Day—that's tomorrow—is winning praise for its message. In the "Dear Future Mom" spot from Saatchi & Saatchi, people with Down Syndrome reassure future moms of babies with the condition that their children will lead full, happy lives. “Sometimes it will be difficult. Very difficult. Almost impossible," says the ad. “But isn’t it like that for all mothers?”

Mediabistro calls it "a really touching video, and a perfect encapsulation of this year’s World Down Syndrome Day theme," which emphasizes "true integration into society." At Jezebel, Erin Gloria Ryan, writes that "the sad subtext of that message is that in the western world, women who find out they are pregnant with a child with Down Syndrome choose abortion around 90% of the time, often because they fear their child won't live a 'good life.'" Ads like this can change that perception, she writes. (More Down Syndrome stories.)
