Would you rather swear off coffee for a year—or quit sex with your partner, alcohol, or social media for that same span? If you'd opt to keep the java, you're in good company: Some 78% of respondents to a hotel group's survey agree, reports Fox. Moreover, 53% of respondents said coffee was better than sex as a way to start the day, the Le Méridien guest survey found. Some 22% of respondents—frequent travelers in the US, China, and four other countries—couldn't get out of bed without coffee, while 16% said they couldn't handle talking to another person without it.
