Complete with video cameras, say sources

As far as Labor Day parties go, this certainly has to be the most headline-grabbing. Police in Battle Creek, Mich., were called to the town's Masonic Temple at 2:19am Sunday—where they came upon a private party featuring naked dancers, the Enquirer reports. That may have been the least of it, in NewsChannel3's telling, which uses the phrase "out-of-control sex party." Sources tell the station that drugs were present, and that the first officer to enter the scene came upon a couple participating in what it terms a "lewd sex act." The wild times were reportedly being videotaped.

Upon calling the temple, NewsChannel3 heard a message instructing it to "please call Charlie" to rent the facility. Call "Charlie" it did, and he told them the group handed over $900 to hold what it said would be a dance party in the space. Police sources say it wasn't the first sex party to occur there, but Charlie denied that, and also said that he stopped by the party at 1am after hearing rumors about nudity; he saw nothing amiss, he says. The Enquirer makes no mention of arrests, but NewsChannel3 makes mention of "multiple arrests," without giving further details. Great tidbit: The temple sits next to the Battle Creek Police Department. (More strange stuff stories.)
