Here's how you take your arrest on an open container charge and snowball it into something much, much worse: Steal an ambulance to get home from the police department. That's what Cesar Garcia is accused of doing after he received the misdemeanor citation yesterday morning and was released shortly thereafter, the Arizona Republic reports. Now the 33-year-old Arizona man faces felony charges including motor vehicle theft, assaulting police officers, and aggravated DUI.

It's not clear why the ambulance, which did get Garcia all the way home, was parked at the police department. Garcia originally told cops he planned to walk, ABC 15 reports. Apparently, plans changed. (More strange stuff stories.)
