Corruption Trial Looms for China's Bo Xilai

Nearly a year after his wife was sentenced in the death of a British businessman, former top Chinese politician Bo Xilai is headed for a trial of his own. He has been charged with corruption, bribery, embezzlement, and abuse of power, the BBC reports. The charges accuse Bo of using his job as a Communist Party official to "to seek profits for others," while he himself received an "extremely large amount" of cash and property, the charges say, per the Wall Street Journal. Internal records suggest he'll be tried—probably starting next month, an insider says—for taking $3.2 million in bribes and embezzling $800,000, among other abuses. (More China stories.)
