You've no doubt seen far worse, but a big-headed, duck-footed mix of beagle, boxer, and basset hound is the upset winner at the 25th annual World's Ugliest Dog Contest. Walle, a 4-year-old mutt from Chico, Calif., was judged yesterday as the most unsightly of 30 dogs at the popular competition in Petaluma, California. "This dog looked like he's been photo-shopped with pieces from various dogs and maybe a few other animals," explains one of the judges. For bearing insults like that, Walle wins $1,500 and will be showing up on Today and Jimmy Kimmel Live next week, among other shows. (Read more dogs stories.)
