Another day, another example of why you should probably opt for a land-based vacation: A fire broke out aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship this morning, the AP reports. The good news: It was quickly extinguished and all passengers and crew members are safe. The Grandeur of the Seas left Baltimore Friday for a 7-night cruise to the Bahamas. It was headed toward CocoCay but was re-routed to Freeport for further evaluation, where guests in affected staterooms will be put up in hotels, USA Today reports. (More cruise lines stories.)
