The only problem with the insanely popular McDonald's McRib sandwich is that fans have to wait until October, or sometimes even later, to get one each year. Well, we have good news for you. On May 21, Burger King is releasing its own boneless rib menu item, the BBQ-sauce-slathered and sweet-pickle-bearing BK Rib Sandwich. Sadly, it will be available just for the summer, Time reports. It will cost you about $3.49 alone, or $5.59 if you want fries and a drink with that, USA Today reports.

"Our guests have grown to look for a variety of options," explains Burger King's vice president of global innovation. "It's not just about beef anymore, but other proteins like chicken and turkey and pork." (Although some would probably question whether any of these boneless rib offerings are truly meat at all.) The BK Rib Sandwich sold "extremely well" when it tested in Louisiana, the VP adds. Also on Burger King's special menu this summer: a Memphis Pulled Pork sandwich, Carolina BBQ sandwiches, sweet potato fries, a BBQ Chicken Salad, and a bunch of desserts involving Oreos.
