Henrik Zetterberg beat goalie Roberto Luongo's in a shootout Thursday as the Detroit Red Wings ended a rare losing streak with a 3-2 over the Vancouver Canucks, the Vancouver Sun reports. The NHL-leading Red Wings, who had lost three in a row, jumped out to a 2-0 lead on the strength of a pair of goals by Daniel Cleary.

Henrik Sedin and Markus Naslund, who was skating in his 1,000th NHL game, brought the Canucks back with goals in the second period. Dominik Hasek had 26 saves and stopped the Canucks cold in the shootout. Luongo had 47 saves for Vancouver, but Zetterberg was able to get a backhander between his pads for the win.
