Romney Finally Breaks Silence

Church experiences prepared them for election's end: Ann

Mitt Romney is finally speaking publicly about last year's election, and he likens it to a roller coaster. "Exciting and thrilling, ups and downs. But the ride ends," he told Chris Wallace in a Fox News interview to air Sunday. "And then you get off. And it's not like, oh, can't we be on a roller coaster the rest of our life? ... No, the ride's over." Asked what it was like to shift from a hectic campaign to "nothing," Ann Romney cited the couple's experience in church.

"In our church, we're used to serving ... You can be in a very high position, but you recognize you're serving. And now all of a sudden, you're released and you're nobody," she said. "We're used to that." And while the big change was still something of a shock, "fortunately, we like each other." (Read more Mitt Romney stories.)
