John McCain is still fighting mad about the Obama administration's inconsistent statements about the Benghazi attack, and is calling for a Watergate-style congressional investigation into them. "We need a special committee, a select committee, like we did in Watergate, like we did in Iran-Contra … to get to the bottom of this," McCain told CBS News. Asked if he believed Obama had misled the American people, McCain replied, "I know he did."

McCain also said he would do all he could to block Susan Rice's nomination if Obama picked her as his next secretary of state, as rumor has it he will. "She's not qualified," McCain said, slamming her for telling TV stations that the attack was a spontaneous demonstration. McCain brushed aside reports that the CIA told the administration as much, saying she "should have known," and that a special committee should see if she was guilty of anything "aside from not being very bright."
