When presented with the opportunity to watch the president, a very popular former president, the Republican presidential nominee, or an old guy talking to a chair, America was apparently most excited about … Joe Biden. Yes, out of all the speakers at the DNC and the RNC, the VP got the best ratings, according to Nielsen. He was watched by 14.7% of Americans with TVs, the New York Daily News reports, or about 43.6 million people. President Obama came in second at 13.7%, and Mitt Romney third at 12.5%. The consensus seems to be that everyone was just hoping Biden would make a hilarious gaffe. (Read more Joe Biden stories.)
