A GOP conventioneer got the boot for allegedly throwing nuts at a black CNN camerawoman and telling her "this is how we feed animals," reports TPM. It's not clear whether the expelled attendee was a delegate. In a statement, CNN confirmed that the incident reported by former MSNBC anchor David Shuster had occurred, but didn't go into specifics.

"CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon," the statement said. "CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter, and will have no further comment." There was more than one person involved, according to a convention spokesman. "Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior," he told Politico. "Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated." (More CNN stories.)
