Imagine perpetual jet lag that gets a little worse every day, and you'll understand life in the Oh family. They're on Martian time, which makes each day 40 minutes longer than the one before. "We all feel a little sleepy, a little jet-lagged all day long, but everyone is doing great," says Bryn Oh. Her husband David Oh, flight director for NASA's new Mars rover, thought it would be cool if the whole family joined him and his crew on the Martian clock, the AP reports.

That means Devyn, 8, Ashlyn, 10, and Braden, 13, are on for the ride. So far their adventures include dinner at 2:30am, night hikes in the hills, and seeing a zombie film at midnight before going bowling. "It's awesome, but it's tiring," says Ashlyn. And David isn't shy about telling his co-workers about the experiment: "Some of them think it's really cool to have the kids along," he says. "Some who worked on other Mars missions have said, `You're crazy.'" (See proof that NASA is cool again.)
