With Pittsburgh's Willie Parker (1316 yards) sidelined with a broken wheel and Minnesota's rookie wunderkind Adrian Peterson (1305) running on fumes, the league's rushing leader has a familiar face again. Last year's titlebearer LaDainian Tomlinson (1418) reclaimed the lead with a game to go, the AP reports, as the Chargers smacked around the Broncos, 23-3.

Tomlinson had 107 yards, but just four carries in the second half as the game was quickly put out of reach by the playoff-bound Chargers. On Christmas Eve, Jay Cutler—the quarterback from Santa Claus, Indiana—had a hellish four-sack, three-turnover night. His Denver team ended up outscored by San Diego in the season series 64-6.
