Police are still sorting out what happened at a Florida RV park last night, after a standoff that left three people dead and two others badly hurt. Police got a call about a shooting at the park just before 6:30pm, according to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. When they arrived, they found a man lying outside an RV. But before they could get close, a man inside the RV said he had a woman hostage, and would kill her if they approached.

An hour later, a woman emerged unharmed, and said the suspect was inside with his wife and two sons. SWAT teams spent hours trying to contact him without success, until at around 1:30am they broke into the RV and found the suspect and a 9-year-old boy dead, and a woman and a 7-year-old boy badly hurt. The woman and boy were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The man lying outside the RV was also dead; police say he did not know the suspect. (More police stories.)
