Talk about your unforgivable curses. JK Rowling has revealed that she came very close to tossing an Avada Kedavra Ron Weasley’s way somewhere in the middle of the Harry Potter series. “I did seriously consider killing Ron,” Rowling tells Daniel Radcliffe in an interview on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows: Part 2 DVD, which recently leaked online, according to the Guardian.

“Funnily enough, I planned from the start that none of them would die,” she says. “Then midway through, which I think is a reflection of the fact that I wasn't in a very happy place, I started thinking I might polish one of them off. Out of sheer spite. 'There, now you definitely can't have him anymore.’" But she says that “in my absolute heart of hearts” she couldn’t have done it. Radcliffe, for his part, was “convinced one of the main three had to buy it.” (More JK Rowling stories.)
