New Yorkers Support 'Occupy'

New Yorkers clearly like seeing a few nerves rattled on Wall Street. In fact, 67% of those asked in a new survey say they support the Occupy Wall Street movement, and 87% back protesters' right to camp out as long as they observe the law. Support fell along party lines, however, with 81% of Democrats liking the demonstrators compared to only 35% of Republicans, Reuters reports.

The biggest voting block, 37%, accused President Bush's administration of letting the economy fall apart; just 21% blamed banks. Almost three quarters said better government regulation would help rein in a runaway Wall Street. The poll, taken last week, queried more than 1,000 registered voters.
