Good news: Aside from the fact that you probably don't own a $12 million home in San Diego and are not running for president, you are exactly like Mitt Romney. In a piece titled "Adventures of a Common Man," the New York Times looks at the Romney campaign's recent effort to remind voters—often by dropping names and choice photos on Twitter—how much the candidate has in common with them. Like, for instance, his love of Carl's Jr., Subway, and flying Southwest Airlines.

His friends and staff say this "regular dude" is the true Mitt (aides share tales of Romney flying coach and washing clothes at a laundromat while on the road; he also apparently likes to quote lines from the Coen brothers' O Brother, Where Art Thou?). But when you're worth about $200 million, getting press for renovating that beach home, and facing a rival (Rick Perry) who is attempting to show how different his humble roots are from Romney's not-so-humble ones, the climb is an uphill one, notes the Times. (One former DNC staffer has been spoofing Mitt's everyman ways; click to see.)
