With a 34-20 win last night over the Tennessee Titans, the Denver Broncos hauled themselves up to an even record and a share of the AFC West lead. Glenn Martinez' 80-yard punt return in the first quarter was characteristic of Denver's breakout game: all four of their touchdowns came on more-than-40-yard plays, reports the Denver Post.
The Titans racked up more yards and controlled the ball for longer, but Broncos quarterback Jay Cutler completed 16 of 20 passes, often throwing on the run, and at times looked more like Vince Young than the Titans quarterback himself. Young finished with 26-for-41 passing and two costly, consecutive interceptions in the fourth quarter. (More NFL stories.)
