President Obama says the first family would be just fine if they were just a regular family. “If I said, ‘You guys, I want to do something different,’ they’d be fine,” Obama told the TODAY show this morning. “They’re not invested in daddy being president or my husband being president.” He added that if Michelle “didn’t think that what we were doing was worthwhile … she’d be the first to say, ‘Why don’t you do something else that’s a little less stressful?’”

Obama also said that maybe there are days “where I say that one term is enough,” but that he’s ultimately running for reelection because he believes “that the work that we started in 2009 is not yet complete.” He also outright dismissed the idea that he was calm about unemployment or not focused on job creation. “I spend all my time thinking about this stuff,” he said. “The notion, somehow, that I’m calm about that is nonsense.” And, of course, he also talked about Anthony Weiner.
