When Dems Lose Seats on Nov. 2, Blame Obama

President Obama is “overseeing one of the worst White House midterm strategies in American history,” writes Karl Rove in the Wall Street Journal. Even though the economy is foremost on voters’ minds, Obama continues to focus on immigration reform, the “Ground Zero mosque,” and “an ineffective Mideast peace initiative.” David Axelrod promised Sunday that the administration will focus on “growth and jobs” next year, but congressional Democrats must be “wondering why there's been no focus on that up to now,” Rove speculates.

Obama “could have severely weakened his opposition by drawing them in." Instead, he “strengthened Republicans by taunting them with their seeming irrelevance, and he fashioned legislation that only Democrats could vote for. Now many of them will lose their jobs because of their votes,” Rove continues. With just 12 days remaining before the election, Obama “has left his party with an incoherent closing argument.” For last week's Rove WSJ piece, also anti-Obama, click here.
