Transformers Filming Suspended After Crash

The character "Bumblebee" was involved in an unscripted crash during the filming of a Transformers 3 car chase in Washington DC. A police SUV slammed into the yellow Chevy Camaro as it drove through an intersection that had been cordoned off by police, Fox reports. The officer, an explosives technician responding to a suspicious package incident nearby, sustained minor injuries.

Police sources say the driver was using a different radio channel than the police officers who were closing off the area for filming. "The Metropolitan Police Department is investigating the facts of the crash and filming of this movie on closed DC city streets has been suspended until safety procedures can be reviewed," a police statement said.
