Dutch police stopped a US pilot from taking off with a plane full of passengers because they say he was drunk. Authorities said they were tipped off that the 52-year-old Delta pilot might have had a few before attempting to fly, and stopped him before takeoff. He had a 0.023% blood-alcohol level—above the legal limit in the Netherlands. He also would have failed the FAA's limit of 0.018%, notes NBC New York. The pilot was fined $900 by Dutch authorities, then suspended by Delta. He was identified only as being from Woodbury, NJ.
