The star of yesterday's show at the Lincoln Memorial was the star of the Sunday dial, with none other than Glenn Beck taking a seat opposite fellow Fox Newser Chris Wallace for an interview that Politico notes was at times overly adulatory with the occasional hardball. Highlights:

  • On Palin-Beck 2012: "Not a chance. I don't know what Sarah's doing; I hope to be on vacation. I have no desire to be president of the United States, zero desire. I don't think that I would be electable, and there are far too many people who are far smarter than me to be president."

  • On 2012: "I'd like to find [a presidential candidate] with some honor and integrity. I haven't seen them yet, but they'll show up."
  • On accusing Obama of racism: "I don't want to retract—I want to amend. I think it's much more of a theological question. I didn't understand really his theological viewpoints come from Liberation Theology; that's what I think at the gut level I was sensing, and I miscast it as racism."
  • On the crowd yesterday: "Look, we'll have aerial photography here shortly. But I can tell you it's in the hundreds of thousands, let's be on the low end—300,000— and it may be as high as 650,000."
  • On Jon Stewart's constant mockery: "I think he's funny; honestly, I think he should write me a check. I don't think there's anybody on TV or radio who makes more fun of themselves [than me]."
