Man Writes Message Across US with GPS and Driving
It took a month to write this.   (http://worldsbiggestwriting.com/)

An ambitious man drove more 12,000 miles and through 30 states to write a message on the globe he feels the world should know: "Read Ayn Rand." Following a planned route, Nick Newcomen traced his path on a GPS logger, turning it on to write letters and off between them. He then loaded the data into Google Earth to display the message that is his advice to the rest of us.

As a proclaimed fan of the best-selling novelist, he says he believes that if more of us read her work, the world would be "freer, more prosperous and we would have a more optimistic view of the future." Read the full article at Wired or get more details on the trip here.
