Whoopi Goldberg opened today's episode of The View with a different camera angle showing she didn't hit Michaele Salahi, despite what the the celeb couple claims. Whoopi placed her hand on Salahi's arm to get her attention and said (with a definite edge in her voice), "Excuse me, can you get back to the White House, please" to get the discussion back on track.

"Which is weird because we all know that the Salahis would never ever lie about anything," writes Jon Bershad of Mediaite, which has the video. Whoopi does fess up to a heated backstage confrontation with the Salahis, in which she used "choice words" and then "choicer words" when hubby Tareq "got in my face."
