Peruvian police found skin under Stephany Flores Ramirez's fingernails, and they're hoping it will yield DNA evidence they can use against alleged killer Joran van der Sloot. The skin is currently undergoing DNA testing, authorities tell CNN, and may not yield definitive results for weeks.

Van der Sloot has already been charged with Flores' murder. He told police he elbowed the 21-year-old, strangled her, and suffocated her with his shirt. Later he retracted the confession, but police think the DNA could show that Flores clawed at him in her final moments. (More Joran Van der Sloot stories.)
