Nobody can accuse Rory Reid of running on his father's name to become Nevada's next governor. Running away from it, maybe. His first TV spot in the general campaign conspicuously avoids any mention of "Reid," using only his "Rory 2010" campaign logo, notes the Hill. In fact, it's tough to find any mention of dear old dad on the candidate's website.

It's a sign of the times in Nevada, where the Senate majority leader is fighting for his political life against Sharron Angle, the tea partier who won the GOP nomination (a result that may have given Harry his best chance at winning in November). The latest Rasmussen poll shows Angle's lead has shrunk, but she's still up by 7 points, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
