Don't be too quick to laugh at the mental image of Gary Faulkner, Osama bin Laden bounty hunter, armed with a samurai sword and searching the forests of northwest Pakistan, writes Dexter Filkins: He was on the right track. Faulkner was actually searching where some of the sharpest intelligence analysts believe the terrorist is hiding: the district of Chitral.

Here's why, writes Filkins for the New York Times: The region is remote and mountainous, and far from the areas where many other intelligence analysts think he is. It's also relatively protected from Predators, because, as a Pentagon acquaintance told Filkins, the drones can't stay up very long because their bases are located far from Chitral. And, Filkins can't resist adding, the two men are weirdly similar: both religious, both have bad kidneys, both... For the rest of the list, read the post here.
