Crime | Bruce Beresford-Redman Survivor Murder Suspect 'Incensed' at Arrest Warrant Wife Monica 'was everything to us' By Evann Gastaldo Suggested by Disillusioned Posted Jun 1, 2010 7:10 AM CDT Copied Bruce Beresford-Redman, the former "Survivor" producer pauses for a photo at his home in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif. on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. (AP Photo/Damian Dovarganes) A Mexican judge issued a warrant yesterday for the arrest of Bruce Beresford-Redman, the Survivor producer suspected in the April 8 murder of his wife in Cancun. “Monica was the axis around which our whole family revolved,” says Beresford-Redman in his first public statement. “I am devastated at her loss; and I am incensed at the suggestion that I could have had anything to do with her death. I am innocent.” A Mexican state attorney general says prosecutors will start the extradition process soon; Beresford-Redman returned to Southern California after being ordered to remain in Mexico. His attorney calls the warrant “disturbing, since it appears this case is being handled in a manner outside the normal procedures in Mexico,” the AP reports. Beresford-Redman also seems to think authorities are rushing; he asks them “to do what is right not just what is expedient."
