Will Folks, the conservative blogger who says he had an affair with gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley, has released a long string of text messages that he says prove he didn't betray Haley's campaign. The transcript, which you can read on Folks' FITSNews, shows Folks' furiously texting GOP operative Will Donehue, who he suspects will leak the story, an AP reporter who's tracking down the lead, and Haley's campaign manager to strategize about suppressing the story.

“I just don't know who has told more people, you or Nikki,” Donehue says. He promises not to rat Folks out, but adds, “Your the one who screwed her. You're the one who bragged about it. Yall point fingers at your own damn selves.” Haley's campaign manager confirms for CNN that the texts are real. But he says they were suppressing “false rumors,” not true ones. “This blogger's overactive imagination has gone into overdrive,” he said. (More Will Folks stories.)
