With her elegant fashion sense and big, wide-set eyes, Rose Kennedy Schlossberg is almost a doppelganger of her grandmother Jackie Kennedy Onassis—and “in many respects, she is the face and future of the clan,” says one historian. As Schlossberg prepares to graduate from Harvard next week, the New York Post takes a look at the emerging Kennedy through interviews from C. David Heymann’s American Legacy: The Story of John & Caroline Kennedy.

Until her death when Rose was 5, Jackie O was a daily presence in her granddaughter’s life, immersing her in culture and fashion. Despite her many similarities to her grandmother, a few controversial photos of Rose have emerged—perhaps most famously, she flipped off the paparazzi on the way to her uncle’s funeral in 2009, leading one biographer to believe she still has a bit to learn. But if she does, expect to see more of her: She reportedly told a relative recently, “I’d better hurry up and run for something.”
