A good-ol'-fashioned baseball feud is in the works after the Colorado Rockies busted a Philadelphia Phillies coach using binoculars in the bullpen. They complained he was trying to steal signs, and the league today reprimanded the club. The war of words is awesome. "Out of line" said Rockies manager Jim Tracy. "Keep crying" said Phillies counterpart Charlie Manuel, who, by the way, insists his coach wasn't stealing anything.

"I'm sure if they could steal signs they would," said Manuel, reports the Denver Post. "And if we can, we will too. If we can get them legally. If you're dumb enough to let us get them it's your fault. It's been going on in the game a long time. If you're dumb enough to let us get them, that's your problem." Speaking hypothetically, of course.
