Hollywood still makes movies that end with cliffhangers, some of them literal cliff hangers. Writing for Maxim, Eric Alt rounds up some favorites:
- The Italian Job (1969). Note this is the original flick. Will the gang survive that tipping bus and get the loot? We get only the classic line, "Hang on a minute, lads. I got a great idea," and that's it. "The end. Brilliant."
- Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969): We never see the heroes get shot, and who knows? Maybe the Bolivian army has really lousy aim.
