In an email exchange getting a lot of attention on tech blogs, Steve Jobs takes the moral high ground on pornography as he slams Google and its phone. In response to a customer who questioned Apple's role as the "moral police," Jobs responded: "We do believe we have a moral responsibility to keep porn off the iPhone. Folks who want porn can buy and (sic) Android phone."

TechCrunch thinks the Jobs email is legit, typo and all. "This is noteworthy both because it’s funny, and because Apple and Google are in the early stages of a war that’s brewing between the iPhone and Google’s Android platform," writes MG Siegler. Jobs thinks he's found a vulnerable spot, and he's going to exploit it. At the Android Phone Fans blog, Kevin Krause wishes that "hear no evil, see no evil, do no evil" Apple would "drop the petty attacks and get back to letting their devices do the talking."
