Sarah Palin begins her career as broadcast interviewer Thursday night on Fox when she hosts the premiere of a new series, Real American Stories. She's got an eclectic lineup of guests to work with: Toby Keith, LL Cool J, and GE's Jack Welch, among others. The show airs at 10pm and will be repeated at 9pm Sunday. It's not clear yet how often new shows will air.

"The debut of the series, as it happens, will come on April Fool's Day," notes Mark Silva at the Swamp politics blog. "The same day, President Barack Obama will be touting the health care bill that he signed into law with a stop in Portland, Me.—so both parties can have fun with all the April Fool's talk that they like."
