Never a fan of change you can believe in, Karl Rove lit into Barack Obama today, calling the president's lead on health reform "outsourced to Congress," making him appear "aloof and disengaged." And not to put too fine a point on it, but asking the House "to vote on a placeholder" bill "is a pretty remarkable way to go and pass some big piece of legislation, without bipartisan support." But, Politico reports, as for Palin 2012? "This is her year to get ready for the hot spotlight." Elsewhere on the Sunday dial:

  • "Aloof" or not, Robert Gibbs says he's gonna show you the health reform, telling Fox News Sunday, "We’ll have the votes when the House votes within the next week."
  • “House Democrats are being asked to hold hands, jump off a cliff and hope Harry Reid catches them," Lamar Alexander tells Face the Nation.
  • Gitmo is a "world-class facility," and you'd have to "put a gun to my head" to get John Boehner to vote to close it.
  • Nancy Pelosi's move to pass health care reform is "a perversion of rules," Eric Cantor tells Fox News Sunday.
  • And just in case you believed the rumors, David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel are really bosom buddies, Axe says. "Rahm’s been my dear friend for 30 years."
