Bragging rights weren't the only thing the US lost in yesterday's gold-medal hockey game: President Obama owes Canadian PM Stephen Harper a case of Molson. Had the US emerged on top, Obama would have scored Yuengling, which, like Molson, is this country's oldest beer, reports the Globe and Mail.

And that wasn't the only bet being made in the White House: Press Secretary Robert Gibbs' wager with Canadian counterpart Dimitri Soudas over the women's hockey final ended with Gibbs now having to wear a Canadian hockey jersey for the first 15 minutes of a media briefing. "I've always thought that the colours of red, white and....That's it. Just red and white bring out the color of Robert's eyes,” quipped Soudas. (More President Obama stories.)
