The average American Facebook user spent 7 hours surfing the site last month, more time than users spent on Google, Yahoo, YouTube, Microsoft/Bing, Wikipedia and Amazon combined, according to the latest Nielsen numbers. You read that right: combined. The number represents a staggering jump, Mashable notes. Just last June, the average user spent only 4 hours and 39 minutes on the site.

Google still rules the roost with the most unique users, with nearly 153 million, followed by Yahoo with 135 million. Facebook came in third with 116 million. Another interesting move in the data: The number of different websites users visited climbed 8.4% from December, even though the total amount of time users spent on their computers fell 8.2%.
