Drew Brees could probably be called king of New Orleans any day of the week, but yesterday was special: he reigned as King of the Bacchus Parade, the traditional pre-Fat Tuesday Mardi Gras celebration. Locals tell the Times-Picayune the crowds were bigger than usual this year on account of the Super Bowl MVP, who threw miniature footballs to onlookers. "I’m pretty excited," said one lucky teen. From the looks of the photos above, so was Brees.
