Mexican South Park fans suspect their president was responsible for MTV's last-minute decision to pull an episode of the popular program. The episode, Pinewood Derby, features a caricature of Felipe Calderon—portrayed as a spendthrift who blows cash on water parks—in front of a Mexican flag, the BBC reports.

Fans are crying censorship and ridiculing the channel's decision, although officials from MTV Mexico say they had to pull the episode because they failed to get the necessary permit to show the flag on TV. "We decided not to alter the image because the reaction would have been worse," said a spokesman, who promised that the episode would be shown as soon as the permit is obtained.
